Your website gives information, not answers
Visitors arrive with a question and find pages full of information. Why that goes wrong and how your website can actually give answers.
A buyer searches your website for one thing: does your solution work with the system we already have? He finds product pages, a brochure and a list of frequently asked questions. He does not find the answer. He clicks away.
The problem
Almost every company website is full of information, yet it rarely answers the question a visitor really has. Gartner research among nearly 6,000 customers found that only 14 percent of queries are fully resolved through self-service. Even for very simple queries, the figure is no higher than 36 percent.
The frustration is visible. Contentsquare analysed behaviour on more than 3,500 websites and saw signs of irritation in 40 percent of visits, such as repeated clicking or leaving quickly.
While 73% of customers use self-service at some point in their customer service journey, it's concerning to see that so few fully resolve there.

The cause
A website is built to display information, not to answer questions. That is a fundamental difference. A visitor does not think in pages, but in terms of their own situation: what does it cost for twelve people, how soon can we start, does it work with our system?
A question like that is rarely spelled out on any page. In the Gartner research, customers gave exactly those two reasons: 43 percent could not find information that matched their question, and 45 percent felt the company did not understand what they were trying to do.
People who give up call or email anyway. Or they do not. And those who do get in touch often have to explain their question all over again. 74 percent of customers find that frustrating, according to Zendesk research among more than 6,000 consumers in 22 countries (2025).
The solution
Do not let your website just display information. Let it answer questions. That takes three things:
- Answers in the visitor's language, to their own question, not a page that might look similar.
- Honesty when the answer is not there, with an easy next step: a conversation.
- A list of questions that could not be answered, so your website gets better every week.
Stiqqs AI Agent does exactly that. The assistant answers questions from the knowledge you have approved. If it does not know, it says so, asks a follow-up question and lets the visitor choose an appointment. The question goes on your list. Answer it once, and the next visitor gets an answer.
